One hotkey, every app
Press Ctrl+Alt+Space, speak, and WhisperJot types into the app that has focus without requiring a browser extension or app-specific plugin.
WhisperJot is dictation software for Windows that types into every focused app. It is private by default and works offline with the local engines, with custom vocabulary and filler removal included for $99/year.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Space, speak, and WhisperJot types into the app that has focus without requiring a browser extension or app-specific plugin.
The local engines transcribe on your Windows PC, so audio stays on the machine by default and dictation continues without an internet connection.
Add names, specialist language, and product terms to custom vocabulary so the words you use regularly arrive with the spelling you expect.
Automatic punctuation and filler-word removal turn a spoken draft into workable text while voice commands add structure such as a new paragraph.
WhisperJot adds local engine choices, custom vocabulary, local history, and per-app controls while keeping the familiar hotkey-to-text workflow.

On first use, Jot Local downloads a speech model of about 2.3 GB; afterward, local dictation works offline. Below the specs? The opt-in Jot Cloud engine runs on anything with an internet connection and avoids that local model download. It operates only while selected, and audio is never stored on our servers.

Yes. WhisperJot is private by default, and its local engines transcribe on your Windows PC without an internet connection after the model download. Jot Cloud is opt-in, operates only while selected, and audio is never stored on our servers.
WhisperJot supports Windows 10 64-bit version 22H2 or later on x64, with Windows 11 recommended. It needs at least 8 GB RAM, a modern quad-core CPU, and about 3 GB of free disk space. ARM64 is not yet supported.
Both provide a quick way to turn speech into text. WhisperJot adds private-by-default offline local engines, custom vocabulary, filler-word removal, local transcription history, and per-app controls while typing into whichever desktop app currently has focus.
One $99/year plan covers macOS, Windows, and Linux, so you do not need a separate subscription for each computer platform. There is no free tier. Before subscribing, you can try the 30-second browser demo to see how WhisperJot handles your voice.
