Yes. WhisperJot types into whatever desktop app or browser text field has focus, including generic gradebook comment fields. It does not depend on a dedicated gradebook plugin or integration. Per-app overrides can change the injection method if a particular application handles inserted text differently.
Can voice dictation use different tones for feedback and emails?
Yes. WhisperJot supports per-app tone adaptation, so text dictated into a report or gradebook can be shaped differently from a quick email. The adaptation follows the application you are using, helping the first draft fit its context before you review and make any needed edits.
Is teacher dictation processed on the local machine?
Yes, when you select Jot Local or Jot Local Pro. These engines transcribe audio on your machine, and transcription history is stored there in a local SQLite database. They also work without an internet connection after the first model download, which is approximately 2.3 GB.
