Per-app injection overrides are available when a particular writing environment needs a different method.
Can I format a manuscript with voice commands while dictating?
You can add useful structure while speaking with commands such as 'new paragraph', 'bullet point', and 'all caps'. WhisperJot also applies automatic capitalization and punctuation and removes filler words. The resulting text is still an editable draft, ready for your normal revision and formatting process.
Does voice dictation for writers work without internet access?
Offline drafting works with Jot Local and Jot Local Pro, which transcribe on your device without an internet connection. Local models download on first use and require about 2.3 GB. Once installed, you can draft offline while your audio and transcription processing remain on the machine.
Where are my dictated drafts and writing takes saved?
Each transcription is saved to a local SQLite history database on your computer. That gives you an automatic local record of dictated passages, including exploratory takes you may want to revisit. Optional cloud library sync can sync transcript text and titles, never audio, and its stored data is deletable.
