Do I have to sign in to use WhisperJot?
Yes. Sign-in is required to download and inside the app. On macOS, the first launch opens a browser sign-in, then setup. Plans are $99/year, framed as $8.25/month billed annually. Quarterly and lifetime options exist only when enabled — see the pricing page for current options.

Does WhisperJot work without internet?
The app keeps working offline. It needs to re-confirm the subscription within 21 days. Local engines transcribe without a network after their models are downloaded. The opt-in Jot Cloud engine requires internet and an active subscription whenever it is selected.
A local LLM for Medium or High cleanup also stays on localhost, so it does not need a public network, but the LLM server itself must be running on your machine.

How long can WhisperJot stay offline?
The app keeps working offline and must re-confirm the subscription within 21 days. Connect to the internet before that window ends. Local engines still need their models on disk from an earlier download. The opt-in Jot Cloud engine will not transcribe without internet. Wake word and meetings also use local engines, never Jot Cloud.
Does one login work on my Mac and my Windows PC?
Yes. One account covers Mac, Windows, and Linux. Sign-in is still required on each install. A device cap is not documented. The same $99/year plan includes all three platforms; Linux builds are in beta. After you sign in, offline use still follows the 21-day subscription re-check.
