Spoken commands and punctuation

Light cleanup (the default) applies punctuation, capitalization, and filler removal. Say new paragraph to split text. Optional spoken press enter, off by default, submits after insert. Self-correction turns 2pm, no wait, 3pm into 3pm — there is no separate scratch-that command documented here.

How do I add punctuation and a new paragraph by voice?

Cleanup level Light is the default. Its rules cover fillers, capitalization, and punctuation, so spoken sentences typically land with punctuation applied. Say new paragraph when you want a break in the inserted text.

These commands apply at every cleanup level, including None, because vocabulary and shortcuts still apply at None. Review the result in the focused app or in History after each take.

How do press enter and spoken corrections work?

An optional spoken press enter send command is off by default. When enabled, ending a dictation with that phrase can submit the message after the text is inserted.

Self-correction removal is on by default: saying 2pm, no wait, 3pm becomes 3pm. That is the supported way to drop a mistaken span. Menu bar Undo AI Edit reverts the last dictation to its rule-cleaned version after an LLM polish.

How do I make WhisperJot press Return after I dictate?

Enable the optional spoken press enter send command, which is off by default. When it is on, you can end a dictation with that phrase so WhisperJot submits after inserting the text. It is meant for chat boxes and similar fields. Leave it off if you do not want a Return keystroke added after every matching utterance.

How do I undo a phrase I just misspoke?

Self-correction removal is on by default. If you say 2pm, no wait, 3pm, the inserted text is 3pm. There is no separate scratch-that command in this help. After Medium or High cleanup, menu bar Undo AI Edit reverts the last dictation to the rule-cleaned version without the local LLM rewrite.

Does cleanup level None disable spoken new paragraph?

None leaves the transcript raw aside from vocabulary and shortcuts, which still apply at every level. Light, the default, is the level that adds filler removal, capitalization, and punctuation rules. Say new paragraph when you want a break. Number normalization, also on by default, turns twenty five into 25.
